What is the minimum age to start classes?
For Tabla, we generally accept students at the age of 8
What if I(student) miss a class?
Since this is a hybrid class , Even if you miss a class you can always refer to the classroom video and practice.
What if I(Teacher) miss a class?
If the teacher misses the class, it is compensated within the same month at a mutually decided time by the group
One cannot deny a possibility of an emergency when the teacher will not be able to compensate the class in the same month , then the teacher will refund/adjust the amount equivalent to the value of class missed.
How big are classes?
Tabla classes are limited to a maximum of 10 students

Group lessons are one hour long
How long does it take to learn the tabla?
There is not a simple answer for this question, because it basically depends on how much time you put into your practice, and also on your goals. Those who want to gain a basic understanding of the instrument can do so in about a year at the institute. For those who want to be fully accomplished as a tabla player, it takes many years of practice and dedication, as with any branch of the performing arts.
When are students ready to perform?
Learning music or dance is a lifelong journey. Our focus is on long-term growth and development of music skills. Giving a public performance can be a very beneficial experience, not just in terms gaining stage experience, but also in terms of the preparation process. At various stages in their learning, our students are have the opportunity to give public performances. That being said, too many performances too early into one’s training can be counterproductive as the focus shifts only to the performance material, and not necessarily on developing breadth and depth in one’s music / dance skills. We strive to strike a balance in this regards, looking at each student on a case by case basis.

Do you facilitate / prepare students for music exams ?
Yes We do prepare students for music exams, though it is not compulsory. Here we help the students learn music with joy and fun instead of taking it as curriculum.
Do students need to bring their own instruments ?
Yes. It’s best to always play an instrument you’re comfortable with so we encourage students to bring their own instruments. But we also understand that sometimes this is not always possible, so for your convenience, we do keep a few spare instruments available in the class.
Do you help us in buying the instruments ?
Yes. We have a Tabla maker , who can deliver the instrument at your door step. Alternatively you can also buy second hand instruments from olx / Quikr etc.
